History

In October 1961 the Scalabrini Fathers opened the front door of the new Santa Lucia School to parishioners and young families  Originally staffed by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, this faith-filled school has educated over 1,000 students academically, spiritually and socially.  For those very first years, the school served the children of the Italian-American community, third and fourth generations.  Always very academically excellent, the present day student body clearly supports diversity, racially, religiously and economically.  The very dedicated staff members have enhanced the already high educational achievements through their endorsement and their own academic achievements.  Today, the graduates and the entire student body are accepted into the best Catholic high schools and score well above the national norm in all curriculum areas.
